Rebecca is dedicated to creating a safe, comfortable, and natural space for people to show up as they are. As an integrative practitioner, some of the therapies and theories Rebecca uses in her work with clients include: cognitive behavioural theory/therapy, behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, psychodynamic theory, solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Each client's case is considered and attended to as unique.
Experience in both the public and private sectors of mental health have shaped Rebecca's work as a member of the professional helping field. Beyond individual therapy, she has experience in couples counselling, walk-in and crisis counselling, as well as public [mental] health awareness pursuits.
Rebecca is a multiculturally-competent practitioner with training in cultural diversity. She is also able to provide Christian-based counselling for those interested. In case you are wondering, she holds an honours degree in Psychology as well as two Masters degrees: a Master of Public Health and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She is a Registered Psychotherapist qualified for independent practice, in good standing with the CRPO.
